Happy Halloween

Halloween was so fun this year.  Izzy is old enough to really get into holidays and dressing up and baby Skye just looks cute anyway so it was great.  Izzy picked out a ladybug fairy costume online and I picked it up at Target (I know I bought size 3T but somehow ended up with size 12-18mo - little Izzy still fit into it:)) and I bought a ladybug costume for Skye as well.  Izzy got to dress up for school and dance class on Thursday, wear a costume to a friend's house on Friday and then of course go trick-or-treating last night.  We definitely got our money's worth out of that costume.  Sweet friends let us got trick-or-treating with them so we didn't have to do it at our apartment (that would have be a little too "for real" scary!).  I worried that Izzy might be scared of some of the older kid's costumes and house decorations but she had the time of her life just screaming TRICK OR TREAT and BOO at anything and anyone in her path.  We had an awesome time.

This is random but as we drove home last night I turned on the Christian radio station and they are already playing all Christmas music.  I LOVE Christmas music but isn't Halloween night a little early to start playing it?

Nothing new

I realized that I haven't posted in awhile but nothing new is really happening.  Izzy is having fun at preschool and dance, Skye is having fun learning to sit up, "talk", and occasionally scream at her parents, Jim is working working working and I am trying to make sure and take a shower every day - I know, it's a lofty goal!

Lake Chelan

For a long Labor Day weekend we went to Lake Chelan with Mimi and Papaw (those guys love to fly!).  Lake Chelan is about 3 hours away in eastern Washington and is beautiful.  We had a great time and it was really nice to have an official Izzy nanny (Mimi) and official Skye holder (Papaw). First Day of Preschool

Thursday was Izzy's first day of preschool at Sammamish Presbyterian Church's "Glory Days."  Actually it was just a one hour time for parents and kids to meet the teachers but it was still very exciting!  We really like Miss Julie and Miss Allyson and will try to like the other 11 kids as long as they are willing to share ;)  Izzy will go to school from 9:15 to 11:45 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and I think she is really going to like it.  She LOVES playing with other kids and I know she will really like the new songs, games, crafts and everything else that goes on in preschool.  She has a creativity-impaired mommy so it will be super for her to learn from these wonderful ladies.  

ps - Izzy was the shortest kid in the class - looks like she will take after her mommy and mommy's best school buddy ;

6 weeks old

Miss Skye is 6 weeks old!  She can hold her head up (for a little bit:)) and kind of smiles from time to time.  She also makes little yelps and "talks" when she is in a good mood.  We LOVE our baby Skye and can't wait to see how she grows!  

The Beach

I'm probably going to go video crazy for a few days so that Mimi can see all that we are doing. Everyone else should feel free not to watch if it starts to get boring ;)

We went to a lake (I don't remember the name) last Sunday and here is a clip of Izzy and Cena having a terrific time and Jimmy taking a nap.

Happy Birthday to ME

Woohoo I'm 31!  My wonderful husband let me go to the spa for a facial, manicure and hair cut while he watched the kids and I got a new phone that takes video so hopefully I'll get to start putting video on the blog - if I figure it out :)  Let me know if you can see this video...
