Last week we had a great visit with Gammy and Papa (Jimmy's dad and step-mom). They had not been to Seattle before so we were able to show them tourist sites like Mt. Rainer, the Space Needle, Pike's Place Market and then non-tourist sites like the dog park.  We all had a wonderful time and look forward to more family visits!

Foofie wawer

Today after church, lunch and a three hour nap, it was time to play!  Our neighbor's have a 2 year old name Sophie and they have a small inflatable pool set up in their front yard.  We went out for about 15 minutes yesterday to play but had to come in early because we had a date night (me and Jimmy, not me and Izzy).  Today - all day - Izzy repeated "Foofie wawer shoes outsi pees".  If you don't speak her language, I will translate.  What she clearly said was, "Mommy, I would like to go play in the water with Sophie.  Let's put my shoes on and go outside please!".  As you can see from the picture, Izzy and Sophie had a great time.  Sharing was a little tough but managed through creative swapping of toys between the mommies.

I figured out how to get pictures from my iphone to the computer so I'm going to put a few of them on this post if I can figure out how.  They are just random pics of Izzy over the past couple of months.

My wonderful friend Erin's blog is the first that I ever read and I have completely fallen in love with the idea of blogging as a journal and as a way to keep friends and family close - no matter how many miles away. I am not good with computers, not especially witty and still haven't figured out how to do pictures and videos - however, I think this will be fun and I can't wait to get started.
